DPX Technologies and Biotech Support Group Announce In-Market Partnership for High Throughput Proteomic Sample Prep

COLUMBIA, SC and MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ, October 5, 2021 - DPX Technologies, a manufacturer of pipette-based products for sample preparation, announces a new in-market partnership with Biotech Support Group to integrate their proprietary Albumin, IgG and HemogloBind depletion reagents with pipette XTRaction. By merging technologies, DPX Technologies and Biotech Support Group will expand product offerings for automated, high-throughput, scientific research in proteomics.

DPX Technologies and Biotech Support Group Announce In-Market Partnership for High Throughput Proteomic Sample PrepThe “Omics” revolution has highlighted the need for new and different sample preparation separation processes to overcome the inefficiencies of conventional technologies. Biotech Support Group is a leading provider of proteomic depletion and enrichment products. Not dependent upon immuno-affinity, the company offers specialized bead-based technology for the selective depletion of Albumin, Albumin & lgG, and Hemoglobin, which can be used for blood-derived clinical LC-MS proteomic analysis. The proprietary AlbuSorb™, AlbuSorb™ PLUS and NuGel™ HemogloBind™ will be readily available in an automation compatible format inside an XTRaction tip or XTR tip from DPX Technologies. XTR tips loosely contain the specialized selective sorbents and the combination of these two technologies achieves fast, streamlined workflows that increase efficiencies necessary for clinical proteomic analysis of whole blood, serum and plasma samples.
We are excited for the benefits that this in-market partnership will bring to researchers looking for a simplified and easy way to remove Albumin, IgG and Hemoglobin.” said William Brewer CEO and CSO of DPX Technologies. “This technology combination leverages the unique selectivity of the Biotech Support Group chemistry inside our pipette tip technology.”

It’s a very important development for us to work with the DPX formats. From this, we anticipate offering both catalog products and customized solutions for high-throughput and automation, for our full line of enrichment/depletion products. Our first report on this capability will be a poster entitled ‘High-throughput, Automated INTip™ SPE Combined with AlbuSorb™ Products for Efficient Albumin and Albumin/IgG Depletion’, at the upcoming ASMS Annual Conference in Philadelphia” states Swapan Roy, Ph.D., President and Founder of Biotech Support Group.
