HemoVoid™ provides a fast and simple procedure for the effective depletion of Hemoglobin from red cell lysates. As Hemoglobin is the vastly predominant protein in red cells, selective binding strategies have proved to be cumbersome, dilutive and inefficient. As an alternative,HemoVoid™ selectively voids Hemoglobin while binding the remaining protein content from erythrocytes making it an excellent first step for red cell proteomic analysis. This unique surface matrix is not based on antibodies or combinatorial libraries, providing an economical method that retains functional and tertiary structure in the eluate proteins.
